Independent Smiles AMEX Centurion Rio de Janeiro Lounge
The lounge is both small (setaing about 20 people), and before security, which makes it rather useless for waiting for several hours before your flight: with the huge security delays at Rio airport late in the evening, and the extra security at the gate for US bound flights, you generally have to leave the lounge a good couple of hours before you are due to board. Departure announcement are therefore, not made in the lounge.
The Rio De Janeiro AMEX Centurion Lounge is located landside at the end of Terminal 1C, under the large sign. There is a small reception desk, behind which there are comfortable leather couches.
Food
Food in the lounge is basic, with just pre-packaged sadwiches, soup, fruits, and mini-empanadas.
Bar
There is beer (in cans) soft drink and an expresso machine.
Bathrooms
None.
Business Facilities
There are 3 computer terminals, and although they are modern, the internet speed is very slow.
